Before you list — the four questions everyone asks
- A stranger in my garage?
- Not an anonymous one. The driver has an account confirmed by e-mail, pays up front and gets the gate code only after paying, and only for their booking. After every rental you review each other.
- What if the driver doesn't leave?
- Every booking has an end time and the driver must leave before it (terms §9). If they don't, you report it in the app and can claim payment for the extra time.
- Do I need the housing association's consent?
- It depends on the building. If the spot is yours and the building's rules or resolutions don't forbid renting to an outsider, that is usually enough. Only own a share of the garage? Ask the manager. When listing, you confirm this in one declaration.
- What about tax?
- You declare the income, as with any rental — Rezu is a platform, not a party to the contract. Renting by the month is usually ordinary private rental. If you rent by the day often, check whether you need a fiscal cash register.

Why do I do this? Because it's a waste of time to circle looking for a spot while private parking spots a few streets away stand empty all day. We don't need to build new car parks — just make better use of the ones that already exist. Less circling, less stress, and a neighbour earns passive income from a spot they aren't using right now.
